MPC, Unity & an Easter Parade

Mountain Plains Crafters is celebrating National Craft Month with a Tag-a-Friend post on our Facebook Page. Our fabulous sponsor for this event is Unity Stamp Company. Be sure to "like" us, then go to the post with the beautiful woodgrain photo and Tag-a-Friend. One lucky person and their tagged friend will each win a grab bag of 25 Unity stamps !! Show Unity some love too by heading to their Unity FB page and "liking" them as well.

This event began Monday, March 23 at 0600 and ends Wednesday, March 25 at midnight ET. Our Design Team members will each be making an Easter project using something amazing by Unity Stamp Company. The 2 winners will be announced on our Mountain Plains Crafters Facebook page and also on our blog on Friday.

I will admit that I had a difficult time deciding on a project. 3 projects were started then set aside..I just wasn't feeling them, if you know what I mean. Then I came across a vintage photo that was exactly what I was looking for. It brought back memories of childhood Easters, shopping with my mom for the perfect pair of shoes. She was a seamstress and usually made my dress. She sometimes made herself a matching dress. But shoe shopping was always filled with anticipation and usually an ice-cream cone after our purchase. I really hope that you enjoy my card as much as I (finally) enjoyed making it !! I even remember wearing some of those Buster Brown shoes...

I combined 2 Unity Stamp Company sets -   Some Bunny Thinking of You   and also  SheArt Doodles ( which is on sale right now )... SheArt Doodles is a set of 7 border stamps that are some of my absolute favorites. How can you resist these stamps ??? I sure couldn't ... I placed some turquoise velvet ribbon down the left side of the card and highlighted  2 of the shoes with Ranger Glossy Accents. I "painted" the rabbit with Distress Rock Candy Crackle Paint after doing some coloring and then cutting it out. I paper-pieced some floral paper on the egg and also colored and paper-pieced the borders across the egg.

If you haven't already done it, head over to our Mountain Plains Crafters  Facebook page , "like" our page and  also Tag-a-Friend for a  chance at that fabulous Unity Grab bag..Comment here for a chance to win 2 Unity Itty Bitty stamps.... And as always, thank you for visiting Meticulosity and showing your support for my creativity ..
